Eva, I'm so sorry to hear that the most recent litigation hasn't worked out in your favor. It's so unfair. It's also very sad to all of the readers of your partner's books and potential future books. I hope there is a way that this can come to a fair end for you. I'm sure that you're not going to give up. You're a fighter, just like Lisbeth!

Eva, After having enjoyed the books, and then learning of the injustice regarding your lack of compensation, I was compelled to make a donation to this fund. I think the post of Eileen of New York on 24 May 2010 sums up my thoughts very well. Because I have purchased two copies of each book I have made the appropriately suggested donation. I will place a note about this website inside the cover of each of my copies and I encourage others to do the same. Thank you for your contributions, direct and indirect, to these wonderful stories.

Dear Eva, Never give up. People as far away as my country, Singapore, know of your predicament through the website supporteva.com. I donated $15 ($5 per book) and I support your efforts to be recognized as Steig's partner. You were Steig's pillar of support and you deserve to have the profits from the book, and the rights. As a lesbian, often we too are left out of family inheritances, hospital visitations, horrible injustices are done against us by families of our partners. So I want to support you. Partners are partners in the eyes of heaven, and the world recognizes that.

Dearest Eva, To have this injustice hanging over you is a complete betrayal of the books and their wonderfully imaginative and talented author. I wish you the very best for the future and need to tell you that I shall be speaking about your situation next week at the meeting of my large book group in London and asking them to support you. These three books were a wonderful accomplishment and you as a life-long partner deserve the recognition and financial security that goes with their publication.
