It was so difficult to read the books knowing the situation. Nearly each chapter illustrated that the Millenium Series is a fantasy of how we wish wrongs to be righted. The real world is the exact opposite isn't it, as we are slapped in the face by what has happened to Eva. It's very disturbing, and it seriously affected how I read the books. I purchased one paperback, but did not pay for any more books or the movies, I boycotted them. I did see them however, they were excellent.

Eva- I am so sorry for your devastating loss. In addition, after 30+ years, you helped shaped the man Stieg was to become. In his writing he admires and respects strong women and I'm sure that is a reflection of you. And, from all accounts you lived a modest lifestyle to support his dreams. I am sure you helped labor over the manuscripts of the novels as any partner would do. The actions of his family are outrageous and immoral. They are greedy and evil. Just because you didn't have a signed piece of paper doesn't mean you weren't his wife. Who expects to die so young? It is very understandable that the paperwork was not in order, but his intentions for you were clear by virtue of the fact you were together for so long. If they loved their son/brother they would surely treat you like family because he loved you - they would collaborate with you on foreign translations & film rights to ensure the integrity of his work. They would help you with your financial security. I am totally outraged with his family.

Unbelievable that Eva has to go through this, but I really do admire her for her strength of courage and principles, I have been with my partner for 29 years unmarried through all the good times and the difficult and I just can't imagine what this must be like, stay strong and never give in!! so many of us are behind you.

Having read the three magnificent books that your beloved partner wrote, one after the other I hope that you will be like Lisbeth Salander and will fight on and triumph in the end in what is a shocking dispaly of greed on his family's part.
